My Story

Debbie Powers is a woman who is real. She has experienced love, joy, loss, and trauma, but has a strong faith that has carried her through. She is a survivor.

She is Mom and Grandma. Married 40 years to her loving husband, they have 3 daughters who blessed them with 6 grandchildren. She lives a modest life in the High Desert of Southern California as a widow. She leads Women’s Ministry at her local church. Her greatest achievement has been staying faithful to God.

Her hobbies are crocheting, photography, acting and traveling.

I have known Debbie for several years and one thing I love about her is she does not wear her struggles on her sleeve. While she may appear to be the definition of carefree, she’s not: she’s careful to let God care for her. Because of this, she has a powerful testimony to share.

She’s dazzled us all over the years with her unique talents, joy, and artistic methods of showing God’s love for us all. As she is now embarking into the journey of writing her stories for us all, I know this book will be well worth the read, and the reread.

"Debbie's gift of storytelling took me from smiling to laughing to crying from one chapter to the next, as I was reminded of God's faithfulness in my own life. This delightful collection of real-life stories will encourage you to keep your heart and eyes open to see God at work in your everyday life, too. Definitely a "good-for-the-soul" read."

May you see His Grace in your journey
